Hello Word 2010 Quick Tour .. First look!

As some of you may know that Microsoft has released the new Office 2010 for beta testing and you can download the free beta version and try it yourself from this link: http://www.microsoft.com/office/2010/en/default.aspx
I have created a small quick tour for what I have been experienced so far as I’m one of those who don’t like to read the manual and prefer discovering new features on spot first :D
So I hope you will enjoy the screenshots below for the Word 2010. Click on images to see them in large size .. enjoy ;)

After downloading MS Office 2010 and starting the installation, you’ll find 2 options; either to Upgrade your current Office version or to customize your installation.
For me, I clicked on customize to know which programs will be upgraded

When you click on customize; you’ll find 3 options of upgrading: 1- to remove office previous versions. 2- to keep all previous versions. 3- to remove specific applications & replace them with the new ones.
For me, I wanted to go clean. So I removed the old version (it was 2007 btw) bye bye…

Installation went very smoothly. Just make sure you close most of your opened programs if any & specifically MSN Messenger to complete the upgrade.

Horaaayy! ok we finished it quickly! and we’ll get this notification with a button that takes you back to MS Office website.

I recommend you restart your computer right away before using any program just to start fresh … mm Perfect!

My lifetime fault…

I’m not sure why I’m just confused. Maybe because my dream is too big? But who cares; dreams should be big anyway. Something keeps me away from things I love. I just hate the feeling of doing nothing because something else just came up with no real reason.

My only problem is that I’m helping everyone out there except myself; I totally forget myself and my dreams. I know that helping people is a good thing of course but I feel that overloading myself while totally forgetting my life and my dreams, is something wrong on the long run & not healthy.

It’s okay to say “NO” or “I can’t help!” sometimes. I keep delaying my stuff for the sake of helping other people. It’s just me; I can’t say no to anybody asking for my help.

Could you believe that I’ve been in my career for more than 6 years and I still don’t have even an online portfolio?! :) I just don’t have the time to spend on what I really like or create something for myself.

I’m not saying that I’ll be selfish but what I need is more space & time for myself, my girlfriend, my family, my career & my future life.

Yes … I must admit it. It’s my lifetime fault. I should invest sometime using my skills in creating my future. I think nothing is wrong with that, what do you think? Do you have the same feeling?

PS. Don’t Forget Yourself … It’s time to say NO! … & People should respect that.

I know it’s been loooooong time since I wrote my last post; but as I was saying I was reinventing my old wheels to start a new phase of my life with new theme, concepts & ideas to continue my life with new spirits & challenges.

I just want to highlight that my blog here is not a technical or providing a la up2date news for readers, it’s just my personal blog where I’d share my personal thoughts & life progress with my friends and whoever are interested in keeping in touch with me that I may “It’d be pleasure” inspire my reader to something he probably was thinking about or looking for.

Invent your old wheels

As I mentioned in a previous post; now I'm ready to invent my own old wheels! My old wheels are my old thoughts, ideas, projects, wishes, habits, anything that I've forgotten due to my busy life

Inventing your old wheels means that you look back at the old stuff you used to do in the past that could be the wishes you used to dream of, the passion inside of you that motivated your desires and goals in life, your old ideas and projects you've always wanted to do or to make ... and make new things out of them.

For me, I admit that I didn't get the right chances or the right tools to make my own way in life, but now everything just changed and I've got what it takes to start inventing my wheels.

I found my old dusty notebook where I used to write down all my ideas, thoughts & plans; of course most of them are not applicable now but still some of them inspired me with new ideas that I'm planning to work on one by one.

You just need to look back at your old thoughts and how you used to think about them at that time, read them again and again and I'm sure you'll discover new things  when the "New You" read what "You" wrote before.

Just break your routine - as my friend Mohaly talked about in his post - start acting now, discover your old opportunities and open new gates in your life to go through.

Don't waste more time .. you already have the right tools to invent your old wheels!

Back on track

I know it was quite long time since my last post and I do apologize for that but that was out of my hands as I was sick in bed.

Actually it wasn't that bad as I got the chance to think about some issues that made me busy for long time trying to find a solution for; and also thinking about new ideas, experiments and different projects.

What I want to share with you here is that if you start creating a chance for yourself to "Think" differently and positively about your life and things surrounding you from time to time; will probably make you discover new opportunities and let you see things clearly and put parts all together to create that thing that you were looking for.

Just give yourself another chance and think carefully and wisely, look at it with different perspectives and all things will make sense to you.

Trust me .. it happened to me .. just try it and give yourself this chance .. stop what you are doing now and think .. just think before you act

Google Toolbar is ready for Firefox 3

Now you can install the new Google toolbar for Firefox 3 when you get it tomorrow.
The preparations are made, the expectations are high and people in Mozilla Labs are ready for celebrations tomorrow.. Be there ;)

Breaking News!! ... Gtalk & Yahoo Messenger Union

Yahoo! & Google are connecting their popular IM (Internet Messenger) clients together. It'd be the same as Yahoo! & MSN Live Messenger get connected together long time ago.

The good thing now is that you don't need any third parties to talk to your  Gtalk friends using your Yahoo! messenger which is a great benefit for Yahoo! users to talk to both Gtalk friends and MSN Messenger friends using only Yahoo! messenger.

As I was expecting before, the Net World's Map is about to change soon, and it seems that the procedures already started ...
